A mGreen Module is a single integrated component for green light generation. By pumping the mGreen with an 808nm laser diode, the user can obtain the green light output. A mGreen module consists of 4 elements including a silicon subcarrier; a Nd:YVO4 or Nd: YAG crystal as laser gain media, a MgO:PPLN crystal, and a brass cover.
North Optics offers off-the-shelf and custom mGreen modules. The MgO:PPLN crystals incorporated inside the green are used as the frequency conversion element, which converts the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser pumped using an 808nm LD to 532nm green output through SHG. Besides, 561nm laser output can be obtained from SHG of 1122nm Nd:YVO4 laser. The PPLN crystal and the Nd:YAG/Nd:YVO4 crystal are assembled with a copper heat sink.
