SP122 series plastic scintillators are developed by Shanghai North Optics for low energy γ-ray detection. The substrate of SP122 is our plastic scintillator SP101, a ZnS(Ag) layer is painted on the surface of the plastic scintillator SP101, and the usual thickness of the ZnS(Ag) layer is 8-10mg/cm². Advanced and sophisticated processing is used to make the ZnS(Ag) painting, the final scintillators have excellent homogeneity and uniformity. SP122 can detect γ-ray with energy as low as 40KeV.
